Well from this article it sounds like we are going to get 8 seasons of GoT, with diminishing episode counts along the way. We’ll see how this turns out but I think it will be better for them to tell the story with the number of episodes it takes rather than try to stretch things out just to hit HBO’s episode counts.
It has been fun to see where they are going with the story and I hope they are able to keep us going with some new twists and fun deaths along the way.
